Watching the life cycle of a butterfly

Watching the life cycle of a butterfly

The magnifying glass helps us see things bigger.

The caterpillars are munching and gobbling the leaves.  They are fat.

This is so exciting!  Our caterpillar has changed into a chrysalis.  We can see the green chrysalis with gold spots on it.

The chrysalis is transparent and we can see the orange and black wings.  Is it time for the butterfly to come out?

Wow! the butterfly is out from the chrysalis.  It is a monarch butterfly.
This is amazing.

The butterfly is opening the wings to dry them out.

Yippee ! the butterfly went flying out through the door.  We are happy.
